Our History

August Frisch purchased the business after Carl Tennie passed away in the early 1960s and sold the business to his son Brian in 1992. Brian and his wife Karen opened a second location at 523 Main Street in Oshkosh (the former Russ Kenyon Jewelers site) in 1993. As of 2019, their daughter Rebecca has bought and continued their family tradition and will maintain the Tennie's legacy for years to come.

Our friendly professional staff combines over 245 years of experience in the jewelry business, and catering to the needs of our customers has become one of our trademarks. We believe in offering only the jewelry which we would love to wear and at a price that we would be willing to spend.

We are a full-service jewelry store, with four bench jewelers on-site, to provide fast, reasonably priced, high-quality service from a simple watch battery replacement to custom design, restoration, and appraisals. Estimates, cleaning, and inspections are always free at Tennie's.
